Publication of “Supporting LGBT Lives” Research
New research published about LGBT people in Ireland, including young LGBT people is out! The recent research funded by the National Office for Suicide Prevention and GLEN, and launched by Minister Mary Harney (Monday 2nd February) found that 58% of LGBT individuals reported homophobic bullying in schools and 80% had been verbally abused, it was reported that of critical importance to coping is the help found by engaging with LGBT organisations, such as shOUT! and BeLonG To.
