shOUT! will be having a musical group on Saturday – this gives any of you who can play an instrument, can half play an instrument, would like to try out an instrument, or likes music in any capacity to join us and learn a bit more. If you play something bring it along, we’d love to hear your talents! No experience of music playing is necessary, but it’s a great opportunity to see just how gifted our group members are! And, if singing is more your thang, even better, we’ll have karaoke all ready for you. Hope to see you there!

this is a great opportunity to engage in a really interesting project and will enable you to understand more about your rights and responsibilities.

Project Closed Until January 18th
Hey shOUT!, there won’t be anymore Saturday groups until the 4th of February. The project will be closed starting the 17th of December and will re-open on the 18th of January. During this time, both Garry and Sara will not be checking texts, voice messages, e-mails, nor will we be in the office. Who are shOUT!?
Lesbian? Gay? Bisexual? Transgender? 14 – 23 years old? shOUT!, is a group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or simply uncertain individuals aged between 14 and 23 years.
Through weekly social meetings, we aim to provide a place where young LGBT people can be themselves, and socialise with their peers in an open and accepting environment, thus empowering the youth of the west and encouraging a similar attitude in society at large. Put simply, we meet every week to have fun with young people going through similar experiences! If you’re nervous, don’t worry. Somebody will meet you before your first shOUT! group so that you’ll have a friendly face for your first time through the door!
We also provide support to young people through text/phone (087 773 8529), email (lgbtyouthgalway@gmail.com), and face-to-face. While we are not certified counsellors, we are here to listen, and provide non-judgmental support in whatever way we can.
***Please note that we work on a part-time basis and operate during working hours, we are not a 24 hour service. Our phone, text and email services are not generally checked outside of working hours.
Hours of operation are generally: Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm and Saturday 1pm-5pm.
